Writing & Revelation

ENTERING POETIC MYSTERIES

Live the Questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future,
you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.

Slow down, sip a hot drink and listen deeply to language and to each other.

We begin with a poem or philosophical text, linger with it through a lightly guided framework, immerse in reflection/writing practice and then allow conversation unfold around the hearth of language.

In these sessions, poems become gateways of insight and inspiration
for our writing. We dwell imaginatively with language and enter the spaces it opens in us,
allowing our voice to emerge in response.

This is an invitation to let language reveal us to ourselves.
Each session is a practice of listening, conversation and creative process :
revelation through the act of writing.

*Quiet the critical mind.

*Journey into your undomesticated imagination.

*Savor language and conversation.

*Inhabit yourself through words.

More about the Series

Something happens when we meet inside language—when we follow unexpected currents in words, rhythm, and meaning. In this workshop series, we step into language and re-compose it, play with words and let them move through us. This is about trusting what comes – discovering unexpected connections, new ways of seeing and the wild undercurrents of meaning that undo us a little.

How do we listen deeply—to language, to silence, to what stirs beneath the surface? Together, we’ll engage with text as a living presence—something to be received rather than analyzed—and approach writing as an underground stream that flows through us.

This will be a space for unguarded experimentation, inquiry and
an intimate reckoning with language – an encounter with words as a living force.

We'll explore:

  • The texture of words

  • The intelligence in resistance

  • Invocatory language

  • Intuitive responses to text and the world around us

Each session will include immersive reading, somatic ‘recoveries’, writing and conversation. Alongside Lectio Divina, (a method of engaging viscerally with language) we may experiment with other
intuitive methods of working with text, imagery, and metaphor.

Open to writers, artists, the curious and the skeptical.
No experience required.

About Divinatory Poetics

opening the gate.jpg

For the purposes of creative adventure, I curate atmospheric, loosely-ritualized, non-dogmatic, experimental laboratories in which people can be alone-together, immersed in their journey and where attuning to nature, instinct, emotional weathers and the absurdity of it all is part of the dance.

These sessions are of interest to those who wish to explore the creative process and examine language, intuition, meaning and ideas. Participants will scout pathways into their imaginative interior and emerge with material to develop, refine and fertilize other projects.
